Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples from patients using approved techniques.
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of samples.
• Maintain proper hygiene and follow infection control protocols.
• Prepare specimens for transportation or testing as per lab guidelines.
• Safely dispose of needles, syringes, and biohazard waste.
• Comfort and reassure patients during the blood collection process.
• Maintain stock of collection supplies and report shortages.
• Record and update sample collection details in logs or lab systems.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the phlebotomy area.
• Follow all legal, ethical, and medical standards related to patient care.
