Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
• Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, and B2B customers (contractors, builders, architects, etc.).
• Manage relationships with existing channel partners and ensure optimal product visibility and availability.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor product performance and support customer needs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and product launches.
• Provide timely sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management.
• Ensure collections and credit control within the territory as per company norms.
• Train and support distributor sales teams on product knowledge and sales technique

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of sales experience in the building materials industry (e.g., cement, steel, paints, tiles, plumbing, construction chemicals, etc.).
• Proven experience managing a sales territory or region.
• Strong network among dealers, contractors, and influencers in the construction ecosystem.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
