Job Title: Area sales Manager Location: Vijaywada

Job Purpose: To lead the B2B sales strategy and operations for AP & TS ensuring robust business development, channel expansion, and market penetration. The role is pivotal in driving revenue, building strong dealer/distributor networks, and leading regional sales teams toward achieving long-term business goals in alignment with Ojjhs Agro Technology’s strategic direction.

  • Key Roles and Responsibilities:1. B2B Channel Development & ExpansionId entify, evaluate, and onboard new dealers/distributors to build a strong and reliable sales network.
  • Develop region-specific sales strategies tailored to the agricultural ecosystem, tractor dealerships, and allied equipment partners.
  • Conduct market and territory mapping to optimize channel outreach and ensure business scalability.
  • 2. Sales Target Planning & AchievementDefine and achieve product-wise and territory-specific sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Drive consistent revenue growth through structured sales planning and aggressive market execution.
  • Monitor secondary and tertiary sales to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • 3. Channel Relationship & Key Account ManagementCultivate strong working relationships with channel partners, key accounts, and agri-business influencers.
  • Organize partner reviews, site visits, and business development initiatives to reinforce long-term engagement.
  • Address channel issues such as pricing, service, logistics, and ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • 4. Market Intelligence & Strategic InputKeep abreast of competitor activity, pricing trends, farmer behavior, and industry dynamics in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
  • Regularly share market intelligence and actionable insights with senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Identify niche growth areas such as institutional sales, government programs, and FPO-led aggregation.
  • 5. Team Management & LeadershipRecruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of Territory Sales Officers and Business Development Executives.
  • Set KPIs, monitor field productivity, and drive motivation and accountability across the team.
  • Ensure region-wide coordination and consistency in the sales approach.
  • 6. Sales Operations, Reporting & ForecastingMaintain detailed sales reports, dealer performance dashboards, and CRM records.
  • Review and enhance sales conversion ratios by optimizing lead management and dealer engagement.
  • Prepare periodic business reviews and forecasts for presentation to top management.
  • 7. Marketing Execution & Brand BuildingCollaborate with the marketing team to implement region-specific campaigns, product launches, and demo activities.
  • Drive brand visibility and engagement at the grassroots level through events, exhibitions, and rural outreach programs.
  • Ensure effective use of promotional tools and assets at all channel points.
  • 8. Compliance, Financial Discipline & Policy AdherenceEnsure complete compliance with internal processes, pricing controls, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor dealer credit cycles, outstanding payments, and stock rotations in partnership with finance and supply chain teams.
  • Uphold transparency and policy alignment in all partner interactions and transactions.
