Job Title - Ambulance Drivers

Job Summary - To ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of patients, medical staff, and equipment in ambulances, while maintaining vehicle readiness and complying with traffic, safety, and hospital protocols.

• Key Responsibilities - Key ResponsibilitiesDrive ambulance safely for:
• Emergency patient transfers
• Inter-hospital referrals
• Home pickups and drop-offs
• Dead body transport (where applicable)
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and follow route guidance to minimize response time.
• Assist nursing/medical staff during patient loading and unloading.
• Ensure ambulance is clean, hygienic, and infection-control compliant at all times.
• Check and maintain:
• Fuel levels
• Oxygen cylinders
• Stretcher, wheelchairs, and basic equipment
• Perform daily vehicle checks (brakes, lights, siren, tyres, first-aid kit).
• Report mechanical issues immediately and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain ambulance logbook (trips, mileage, fuel, duty hours).
• Follow traffic rules while using siren responsibly.
• Ensure respectful and compassionate behavior with patients and attendants.
• Adhere to hospital safety, NABH, and statutory guidelines.

• Required Qualifications - Minimum 10th pass preferred
• Valid LMV / Transport Driving License
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an ambulance or commercial driver
• Experience in hospital or emergency services preferred

• Skills & Competencies - Safe and defensive driving skills
• Basic understanding of emergency situations
• Calm and composed under pressure
• Good communication and coordination
• Knowledge of city routes and hospitals
• Discipline, punctuality, and responsibility
