Job Title: HR ManagerDepartment: Human Resources


Reports To: Management / Director / PrincipalJob Purpose:The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, compliance, and staff development to ensure a positive and productive workplace.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Plan and manage end-to-end recruitment (teaching & non-teaching staff)
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and induction programs
  • Maintain updated staff records and documentation

2. Employee Relations

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances
  • Foster a positive work culture and resolve conflicts professionally
  • Ensure staff discipline and adherence to policies

3. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, school regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information

4. Performance Management

  • Implement appraisal and performance review systems
  • Support department heads in staff evaluations
  • Identify training and development needs

5. Payroll & Attendance

  • Coordinate payroll processing, leave management, and attendance tracking
  • Monitor absenteeism and late reporting
  • Ensure accurate records for audits and reporting

6. Training & Development

  • Organize staff training, workshops, and professional development programs
  • Support employee growth and career planning

7. Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare HR reports for management
  • Handle HR audits and inspections
  • Coordinate with external agencies when required
  • Required Qualifications & Skills:MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience (school experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems
  • Key Competencies:Leadership and decision-making

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Organizational and time-management skills
