Internal Transaction Auditor & Field Inspector

Role Objective

The Internal Transaction Auditor is responsible for independent verification of all financial and operational

transactions within the company. The role acts as a control mechanism to prevent fake billing, inflated quantities,

overpricing, material theft, and financial irregularities. The auditor must investigate discrepancies, collect

evidence, and report directly to the Director.

Core responsibilities:

• Financial Transaction Verification: Examine purchase bills, vendor invoices, payment vouchers, and

expense claims. Verify quantities, rates, totals, GST details, and approvals.

• Purchase & Vendor Audit: Cross-check quotations, final purchase rates, and market price differences.

Identify suspicious billing patterns.

• Site Verification & Field Inspection: Conduct site visits when required to verify materials delivered,

quantities used, and actual work progress.

• Material & Stock Reconciliation: Compare site stock with purchase records and identify missing or excess

materials.

• Fraud Detection & Investigation: Investigate irregular transactions and gather documented evidence before

reporting.

• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily transaction reports, weekly audit summaries, and fraud alert

reports if necessary.

• Process Improvement: Suggest practical systems to reduce financial leakage and improve verification

processes.
