Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Turner (Lathe Machine Operator) to operate lathe machines for precision metal component manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical drawings, machining tolerances, and hands-on experience with turning operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lathe machines to produce precision metal parts based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Set up tools and workpieces on the lathe machines.
• Perform turning, facing, grooving, threading, drilling, and boring operations.
• Measure and inspect machined components using callipers, micrometres, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure production quality and meet tight tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance of machines and keep work area clean.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

·        Collaborate with supervisors and quality control teams to resolve machining issues.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Turner/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in operating lathe machines (manual).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with turning machines (if applicable).
• Knowledge of different materials like steel, aluminium, brass, etc.
• Basic understanding of programming.
