Mechanical Design Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Mechanical Designer with strong hands-on experience in sub-assembly and manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and reverse engineering of physical components. The candidate should have solid exposure to GD&T and applicable international standards, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of sub-assembly and assembly drawings
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management
• Development of manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Creation of detailed manufacturing drawings through reverse engineering of physical components
• Preparation of mechanical equipment foundation drawings
• Preparation and coordination of structural drawings for equipment installation
• Detailing of machined parts, weldments, and assemblies
• Application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as per design requirements
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant engineering standards
• Coordination with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project teams
• Supporting documentation, presentations, and design reviews as required
• Technical Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of GD&T
• Working knowledge of ASME, ISO, ANSI, and BS standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo
• Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• MS Project knowledge is an added advantage
• Soft SkillsGood communication and presentation skills
• Strong collaborative and team-working abilities
• Ability to interpret physical components and convert them into accurate manufacturing drawings
