Brief Job Description:

We seek a seasoned Plant Head to spearhead Manufacturing Operations Management at a new Pressure Vessel Manufacturing Unit, ensuring seamless Production Planning & Execution. As the Plant Head, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, from strategic resource allocation to meticulous inventory management. You will champion the implementation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management Systems (QMS), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding a team of skilled engineers and technicians within our facility, ensuring that the plant operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the highest quality standards. This role demands a proactive leader capable of aligning production with market demand, managing raw material levels effectively, and implementing innovative process improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Leadership & Strategic Planning

1. Oversee all manufacturing operations, driving efficient production processes and meeting targets.

2. Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize output, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

3. Monitor KPIs, identify improvement areas, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve manufacturing challenges.

4. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across the plant.

Production, Inventory & Resource Management

1. Allocate resources effectively to support production goals, manage constraints, and ensure safe resource utilization.

2. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize costs, and prevent loss.

3. Implement effective production control systems, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.

4. Lead production planning and execution to meet customer demand, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime.

Quality Assurance, Safety & Compliance

1. Manage plant facility maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and ensure efficient project completion.

2. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, implement safety programs, and ensure compliance with regulations.

3. Conduct regular audits, address deviations, and implement corrective actions to prevent quality issues.

4. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and maintain a robust QMS to guarantee product quality and consistency.

Team Leadership, Budget & Cost Control

1. Negotiate with suppliers, analyse cost data, and ensure compliance with financial policies.

2. Develop and manage the plant budget, implement cost reduction initiatives, and monitor expenses.

3. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and promote employee development.

4. Provide leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians, setting expectations and fostering a collaborative environment.
