South Indian Cook

Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, uttapam, sambar, rasam, meals, chutneys, and South Indian-style curries and rice. Ensure food preparation and presentation is up to the brands quality and hygiene standards. Follow the instructions of Chef de Partie in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, uttapam, sambar, rasam, meals, chutneys, and South Indian-style curries and rice.

 Ensure food preparation and presentation is up to the brand’s quality and hygiene standards.

 Supervise and support Commis Chefs in the South Indian section.

 Monitor and control food stock and wastage in the section.

 Ensure kitchen equipment and tools are properly maintained and cleaned.

 Maintain proper labeling and storage of ingredients.

 Coordinate with other COMMISs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

 Adhere to food safety standards (FSSAI) and hygiene regulations.

 Innovate and update menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

 Take responsibility for training new kitchen staff in the South Indian section.

 Handle feedback or complaints related to South Indian food preparation or taste.
