Job Title: Stores Incharge

Job Summary:

The Stores Incharge is responsible for managing all store operations in a machine manufacturing workshop, ensuring efficient inventory control, material handling, and coordination with production and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation (GRN, bin cards, stock registers), and ERP updates.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Implement inventory control methods such as FIFO, minimum stock levels, and regular stock audits.
• Coordinate with vendors and logistics teams for inward and outward material movement.
• Monitor stock discrepancies, reduce wastage, and optimize storage space utilization.
• Ensure proper material identification, traceability, and safe storage practices.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store area.
• Generate stock reports and support management with data for planning and decision-making.
• Supervise and guide store staff for smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or related field (preferred)
• 5–10 years of experience in store management within machine manufacturing or workshop environment

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of inventory management and store operations
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Basic knowledge of materials used in machine manufacturing
