Job Description
- Prepare structural designs and calculations for RCC and steel structures
- Design foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and retaining walls
- Ensure designs comply with IS codes, NBC, and local authority regulations
- Prepare and review structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
- Use structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, SAP2000
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and site engineers
- Provide design clarifications and revisions as required during execution
- Review shop drawings and construction methodology
- Conduct value engineering to optimize cost without compromising safety
- Support site team with technical guidance and design approvals
- Assist in structural audits and proof checking
