Role Overview:-

We are seeking a Senior Academic Counsellor or Recruting Sales Lead who can screen trained IT professionals from the market, align them to suitable job opportunities, and sell TechAlpha Edu’s training, consulting, and placement services across multiple technologies.


This role is a hybrid of recruitment screening, candidate counseling, and sales, requiring strong communication skills, market awareness, and a solid understanding of IT roles and career pathways.


Key Responsibilities:-

  • Candidate Screening & Alignment, Screen trained and experienced IT professionals from the market
  • Evaluate candidate profiles based on skills, experience, and job readiness
  • Align candidates to suitable job opportunities and training programs
  • Conduct initial assessments and career discussions
  • Recruiting Sales & Service SellingSell TechAlpha Edu’s training, upskilling, consulting, and placement services
  • Counsel candidates on career paths, technology stacks, and market demand
  • Explain program benefits, placement support, and engagement models
  • Convert qualified leads into enrollments or service engagements
  • Market & Technology UnderstandingMaintain strong knowledge of in-demand IT technologies,
  • including:
  • Data Engineering, Cloud (Azure/AWS), AI/ML
  • Microsoft Fabric, Power BI
  • Full Stack Development, DevOps, QA, ERP, and emerging technologies
  • Stay updated on hiring trends, skill gaps, and job market demand
  • Coordination & Reporting, Coordinate with internal recruitment, training, and delivery teams
  • Maintain candidate data, follow-ups, and conversion reports
  • Meet monthly sales and conversion targets
  • Build long-term relationships with candidates and repeat customers

Required Skills & Qualifications:-

  • 4–8 years of experience in IT Recruiting Sales, EdTech Sales, or Staffing Sales/ Education Counselling
  • Strong understanding of IT roles, technologies, and career paths
  • Proven experience selling training, placement, or consulting services
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to screen resumes and assess technical fit at a high level
  • Target-driven mindset with strong closing abilities
  • Experience with CRM or candidate tracking tools (preferred)
  • Preferred ProfileExperience in training institutes, staffing firms, or consulting companies
  • Background in candidate counseling or career advisory roles
  • Exposure to domestic and international IT hiring markets
  • Ability to manage end-to-end candidate engagement independently
