Accountant

Job Summary

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the organization. 
• Prepare, analyze, and report on financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
• Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. 
• Provide financial guidance to management to support informed decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile all financial transactions and accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices and payments.
• Manage payroll functions and ensure accurate processing.
• Assist with tax preparation and filings.
• Conduct financial analysis, including variance and cost analysis.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
• Maintain financial security through internal controls and data backups.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay updated on current accounting laws and regulations. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is often required or preferred. 
• Experience: Proven work experience as an accountant, CPA, or in a similar role. 
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel. 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting procedures. 
• Soft Skills:Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
