Accountant

To manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, MIS reporting, and hands-on experience with Tally.

Responsibilities

* Record and process journal entries accurately

* Manage accounts receivable and prepare invoices

* Handle accounts payable and perform reconciliations

* Manage GST-related tasks including GST returns, reconciliations, and compliance

* Assist in preparing financial statements and reports

* Review expenses, payroll records, and other financial data

* Maintain accurate financial data in Tally

* Prepare MIS reports as required by management

* Support month-end and year-end closing activities

* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

* Communicate with vendors to resolve billing and GST-related issues

* Assist with audits and statutory filings

* Mentor or support junior accounting staff, if applicable

* Perform other accounting tasks as required

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

* 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm environment

* Strong knowledge of GST laws, filings, and compliance

* In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

* Proficient in Tally and MS Office

* Experience in preparing MIS reports and analyzing financial data

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

* Ability to maintain confidentiality
