Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and coordination related to government and private projects. The role requires strong knowledge of statutory compliance, vendor payments, and project-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking

Billing & Payments

• Prepare invoices for government and private projects
• Track client payments, retention amounts, and milestones
• Process vendor, contractor, and artist payments on time
• Maintain payment schedules and supporting documentation

Statutory Compliance

• Handle GST filing, TDS returns, and related compliances
• Ensure compliance with government tender and contract requirements
• Coordinate with CA/auditors for audits and filings
• Maintain statutory registers and financial records

Project & Vendor Accounting

• Track project-wise expenses and budgets
• Monitor material, labor, and subcontractor costs
• Reconcile purchase orders, work orders, and bills
• Support financial documentation for government submissions

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare MIS reports for management review
• Assist management in budgeting and cost control
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and project teams
• Support financial documentation for tenders and proposals

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
• 2–5 years of experience as an Accountant (experience in government projects preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances
• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting software
• Good understanding of project-based accounting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with design, construction, or infrastructure firms
• Familiarity with government billing and tender documentation
• Ability to coordinate with auditors and government departments
