Accounts Executive

The Junior Accountant will assist the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, performing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. This position requires attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency with accounting software and documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Voucher Posting:

• Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems, including journal entries, purchase vouchers, sales vouchers, receipts, and payments. Ensure all entries are properly supported by necessary documentation.

Bill Checking:

• Verify vendor bills, purchase orders, and supporting documents for accuracy, approvals, and compliance with company policies before processing. Reconcile vendor accounts and prepare payment recommendations.

Filing & Documentation:

• Maintain organized records of invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents both in digital and physical form. Ensure timely filing and easy retrieval of documents for audits or management reference.

Basic Reconciliations:

• Assist in reconciling bank statements, vendor and customer accounts, petty cash, and internal ledgers to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Assistance in Accounting Operations:
• Support the senior accountant in month-end and year-end closing procedures, prepare basic schedules, and help generate financial reports as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (Journal entries, Ledger, Trial Balance).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
