Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Experience with APEX and Visualforce development.
• Experience in design and development with Salesforce API.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer (I or II).
• Experience designing and developing solutions for a business domain such as supply chain, sales, finance, etc.
  
• CRM domain knowledge with relevance to the cloud industry and its sales channels.
• Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders/partners.

About the job

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

As an Application Engineer, you will play a major role in developing, deploying and supporting Google’s internal business applications serving the Business Systems team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, business, privacy, security, and legal teams to enable and sustain critical business systems that support the devices and services product area.
• Develop and deploy systems and services that improve sales and supply chain processes working with industry-leading analysts for end to end design.
• Work with teams to create an integrated CRM platform to support cross-functional use cases. Develop and support Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning technologies.
• Build solutions with custom frontend and backend services while maintaining highest levels of development practices including: technical design, solution development, test execution and automation, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code.
