Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Cement Channel

Department: Sales

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head

Job Summary: We are looking for a performance-driven Area Sales Manager to lead a team of sales professionals, drive revenue growth, manage influencer networks, and oversee operational efficiency in the assigned territory. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of achieving sales targets and enhancing market penetration.

  • Key Deliverables / Responsibilities:
  • Sales Target Achievement:
  • Drive business growth by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through effective management of the sales team and coordination with the cement network.
  • Team Management:
  • Set individual sales goals, monitor team performance, coach and motivate team members to improve productivity and deliver results.
  • Influencer & Lead Generation:
  • Generate new business leads by managing and nurturing relationships with key influencers like contractors, masons, and engineers in the region.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with influencers and channel partners to enhance brand loyalty and product advocacy.
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee stock levels, ensure reorder quantities are maintained, manage minimum stock levels (MSL), demand forecasting, and ensure timely scheme settlements and proper POSM (Point of Sale Material) usage.
  • Market Insights & Trends:
  • Continuously monitor and identify emerging market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to provide actionable insights to the Head Office team for planning and deployment.
  • Execution of Last-Mile Strategy:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute product and marketing strategies effectively at the last mile.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience:Graduate or Postgraduate in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
  • 6–10 years of experience in sales, preferably in cement, construction materials, or building products
  • Proven track record of team leadership and achieving sales targets
  • Experience in influencer management and dealer/channel development
  • Key Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and team management
