AS400 Lead

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong MQ Series integration expertise to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications. The role focuses on delivering high‑performance, reliable, and scalable solutions while ensuring seamless integration between AS400 and distributed systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and optimize applications on AS400 / IBM i platforms. Implement and support MQ Series integrations, including queues, channels, and message flows. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and scalable solutions. Conduct impact analysis, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Support batch and online processes, ensuring system stability and high availability. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA, and operations teams for end‑to‑end delivery. Provide production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices. Mentor junior team members and contribute to planning, estimation, and status reporting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, MTech, Btech, MCA, BCA in a relevant discipline. 5–9 years of hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i in enterprise environments. Strong expertise in AS400 development, maintenance, and production support. Proven experience with MQ Series-based integrations. Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with modernization or migration initiatives. Expertise in high-availability MQ architectures and performance tuning. Exposure to Agile or structured SDLC environments and IBM i deployment processes.
