Job Title: Fitter – Outdoor Blinds & Shading SystemsDepartment: Installation / Operations

Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Project Engineer

Job PurposeTo install, align, and commission outdoor blinds, pergolas, awnings, canopies, and shading systems at customer sites while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & FittingInstall outdoor blinds, roller blinds, zip blinds, pergolas, awnings, tensile shades, and related structures at site.
• Take site measurements accurately before installation.
• Fix aluminium/steel frames, brackets, channels, motors, and accessories as per drawings.
• Perform drilling, anchoring, leveling, alignment, and sealing works.
• Install manual and motorized blinds (including basic wiring for motors under supervision).
• Quality & FinishingEnsure smooth operation of blinds after installation.
• Check fabric tension, alignment, and locking mechanisms.
• Rectify minor defects at site.
• Maintain high finishing standards as per company quality norms.
• Safety & Site DisciplineFollow safety procedures while working at heights and with power tools.
• Use PPE such as helmets, gloves, harnesses, and safety shoes.
• Maintain cleanliness at site after completion of work.
• Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with Site Engineer / Supervisor for daily tasks.
• Report material shortages, damages, or site issues immediately.
• Take customer sign-off after completion of work.
• Maintenance & Service SupportAttend service calls for repair, adjustment, or replacement of blinds.
• Diagnose common issues like motor failure, fabric damage, alignment problems, etc.
• Skills & RequirementsTechnical SkillsExperience in fitting outdoor blinds, aluminium fabrication, or similar installation work.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools (drill, grinder, leveler, etc.).
• Basic understanding of drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of motorized blinds is an added advantage.
• ExperienceMinimum 1–3 years experience in outdoor blinds, awnings, aluminium works, or façade installations.
• Physical RequirementsWillingness to work at heights and outdoor conditions.
• Physically fit for lifting and installation work.
• Behavioural SkillsPunctual and disciplined.
• Customer-friendly attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• EducationITI / Diploma (Fitter, Welder, or relevant trade) – preferred
• Minimum: Basic schooling with practical site experience.
