Assistant Sales Manager

1. Customer Engagement & Sales Support

• Greet and attend walk-in customers with a positive and proactive approach
• Understand customer needs thoroughly and suggest suitable products (sofas, mattresses, cots, etc.)
• Provide clear explanations of product features, materials, and customisation options
• Offer the best quote based on the customer’s preferences and available options
• Promote additional services offered by the store, like reupholstery, measurements, etc.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and attract walk-in customers to explore the store

2. Order Management & Factory Coordination

• Stay in regular touch with the manufacturing team for custom orders and updates
• Communicate customer requirements clearly to the factory and follow up on timelines
• Provide customers with timely updates on their order status
• Ensure accuracy in product customisation as per the agreed design and measurements

3. Complaint Handling & Communication

• Handle customer concerns, service issues, or complaints with empathy and clarity
• Escalate technical or unresolved issues to the appropriate senior team or factory point of contact
• Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with customers throughout the buying journey

4. Administrative & Reporting Tasks

• Record customer details, order specs, and payment info in the assigned Excel sheets
• Keep accurate logs of walk-ins, quotes given, follow-ups made, and sales closed
• Ensure that all records are up-to-date and easy to review during audits or status checks
