Associate Engineer QA

Role: Associate Engineer - QA, Application Reliability Engineer - Corporate Technology
 
Desired Experience Range: 3 - 5 years

Location of Requirement: Hyderabad
 
Must-Have:
•3-5 years’ experience as a QA automation engineer/SDET. 
•Experience of open-source User Interface (UI) test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java Script & Type Script.
•Good understanding of .Net Framework/.Net Core and C# basics. 
•Writing test automation scripts using BDD Tools - Cucumber, Spec flow, Gherkin etc. 
•Strong C# knowledge (Regex, LINQ, Lambda). 
•Experience of API Testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI etc. 
•Experience of working in software delivery methodologies such as Agile/Scrum. 
•Support and evolve CI/CD Platform for continuous testing. 
•Working on Linux / UNIX operating systems.  
•Knowledge of Cloud Services and working on AWS Platform. 
•Experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills (BDD framework, API testing).
•Experience with web-based application testing.
•Knowledge in WPF, LINQ, SQL, REST, JSON, XML, XSLT, HTML, XPath, CSS. 
•Automation testing tools: Ranorex. 
•Tools: Jira, Confluence, TestRail. 

Good to Have:
•Hands-On experience of working 3-5 years on quality assurance/testing.
•Minimum 2 years of experience in Salesforce QA testing.
•Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Selenium Web Driver, Python, Unix/Linux Shell, JavaScript or comparable.
•Hands on experience in programming languages like Selenium Web Driver, Python, Java etc.
•Experience in automation of REST API / Microservices testing.
•Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written. 
•Ability to manage own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision. 
•Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active attitude to work. 
•Customer and service focused, with determination to meet their needs and expectations. 
•Be driven and committed to the goals an d objectives of the team and organization. 
•Ability to provide Production support: 01-17 GMT (available on call for escalation).

Detailed Responsibilities: 
•Must interact with global teams in time zones spanning UK, US, APAC areas. 
•Design and implement test plans for API/Web application based on business requirements and business use cases. 
•Build, maintain and update test scenarios and test cases based on the requirement specifications. 
•Document test cases using testing tool. 
•Perform and document risk analysis. 
•Perform manual and automated testing. 
•Record test progress and results.   results of automated and manual tests. 
•Create and maintain automated tests in Python or Pytest.  Troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts. 
•Discover bugs within software through functional and automated regression testing. 
•Identify, isolate, and record bugs throughout testing. 
•Identify any potential problems that users might encounter. 
•Track bugs through JIRA or other tools. 
•Provide daily, weekly status updates to leads and managers. 
•Create and build test plans, estimates and improvements to test process. 
•Review QA project artefacts including Test scenarios, Test Scripts, Defect reports and Status reports. 
•Familiar with Agile methodology. 
•Able to document processes and share knowledge. 

Education and Professional Skills:
•Professional qualification or equivalent.
•Software Engineering, Computer Science equivalent, or STEM degree (Desirable).
•CSQA / ISTQB Certified.
•Quality assurance knowledge of tools and methodologies.
•experience in leading successful, result drive teams.
•Experience leading multiple quality assurance implementations.
