JOB TITLE: Hospital Pharmacy Auditor

Job Summary:

The Hospital Audit Executive is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits across hospital operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, cost control, and effective internal controls. The role involves auditing billing, Pharmacy And Central Store Audits diagnostics Bills Verification and financial records, and preparing actionable audit reports for management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pharmacy and central stores audits to ensure accurate billing, stock control, and compliance.
• Verify diagnostic bills (laboratory, radiology, and other investigations) for correctness and authorization.
• Review and ensure proper day book closing and reconciliation of daily transactions.
• Audit patient billing (IP, OP, diagnostics, surgical packages, procedures, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
• Review pharmacy and consumables billing, discounts, approvals, and adherence to hospital policies.
• Monitor inventory management of drugs, consumables, and medical equipment, including stock movements and expiry control.
• Review vendor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payments for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify revenue leakages, control gaps, and non-compliance issues.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risks, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Hands-on MS Excel – data analysis, pivots, lookup.
• Audit reporting & coordination with internal teams

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of hospital operations, billing processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas), audit tools, and Hospital Management Systems (HMS).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple audits simultaneously.
•  Good communication and reporting skills.
