Job Description
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products such as breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts and many more
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control to ensure consistency and quality
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to bakery standards
- Ensure freshness, taste, and visual appeal of all baked items
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment like ovens, mixers, and proofers
- Monitor baking times and temperatures for optimal results
- Decorate cakes and pastries as per customer or business requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery area as per food safety norms
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Manage inventory of raw materials and place requisitions when required
- Minimize wastage and control production costs
- Supervise and train junior bakery staff or helpers
- Ensure timely preparation for daily sales and special orders
- Handle customer feedback and make improvements when necessary
- Coordinate with store or kitchen staff for smooth operations
