Job Description
- Process transactions: Operate scanners, cash registers, and POS systems to process sales, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and make change accurately.
- Manage payments and receipts: Issue receipts, process refunds and exchanges, and handle coupons, gift cards, and other forms of payment.
- Provide customer service: Greet customers, answer questions about products and services, and provide assistance with locating items.
- Maintain the checkout area: Keep the workspace clean, tidy, and organized.
- Handle cash management: Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of shifts, balance the drawer, and generate reports.
- Assist with other tasks: Perform additional duties during downtime, such as stocking shelves or helping with inventory.
