Business Analytics Manager, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
• 9 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL.
• 2 years of experience managing a team.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience collecting, managing and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining and data analysis.
• Experience scaling and developing an analytics or business intelligence team in a high-growth environment.
• Excellent problem solving and project management skills with strengths in metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills with effective attention to detail.

As a Business Analyst Manager, you will utilize data and analytics techniques to define success metrics for YouTube Trust and Safety operations, measure business performance and communicate convincing narrative to executives and outside world. You will work with key business partners to understand data needs, write extract, transform and load scripts and collaborate closely with other internal teams.

In this role, you will operate at two speeds: the strategic, long-term view of how to tell our safety story to the world, and the fast-moving, tactical view of how to drive daily improvements in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Formulate a practical and high impact long-term strategy and goal and lead a dedicated Analyst team to work closely with operations, product and engineering across YouTube Trust and Safety.
• Measure, analyze, and develop opportunities to enhance operations at scale in a fast-moving environment.
• Manage and develop a team of business analysts, and support them through creating and deploying scaled solutions ranging from complex statistical measurements, experimentation and insight platforms, and robust externalized data and reporting pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with various cross-functional stakeholders and APAC and EMEA Trust and Safety operations leadership.
