Civil Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer (Civil & Modular Construction)Location: Site-based (Project dependent)

Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented, technically sound Site Civil Engineer to oversee the on-site assembly and installation of our prefabricated Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) homes and resort modules. You will be responsible for ensuring that site preparation, foundation work, and modular assembly align perfectly with our engineering designs and quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities1. Site Preparation & FoundationSupervise excavation, PCC, and RCC foundation work to ensure millimeter-level accuracy (crucial for modular fitment).
• Coordinate with surveyors to ensure correct marking and leveling of the site.
• Manage the installation of anchor bolts and base plates as per the LGSF structural drawings.
• 2. Assembly & Installation OversightSupervise the offloading and inventory management of prefabricated components (panels, trusses, and pods).
• Lead the on-site assembly team in erecting LGSF structures, ensuring verticality and structural integrity.
• Oversee the installation of dry-walling, insulation, and cladding systems.
• 3. Quality Control (QC) & SafetyConduct regular inspections to ensure work complies with VFAB’s internal quality benchmarks and safety protocols.
• Maintain a "Zero-Error" tolerance policy for structural alignments.
• Ensure all on-site labor adheres to PPE and safety regulations.
• 4. Vendor & Labor ManagementManage sub-contractors and daily wage labor to meet project timelines.
• Coordinate with the factory team to report any component discrepancies or site-specific modifications.
• 5. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material checklists, and site logs.
• Update the project management team on milestones, bottlenecks, and resource requirements.
• Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in site execution. (Experience in LGSF, PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), or Modular Construction is highly preferred).
• Technical Skills:

• Ability to read complex structural and architectural drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (basic) and MS Office.
• Knowledge of finishing works (flooring, MEP coordination, and waterproofing).
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving under pressure, and excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
