Inviting applications for the role of Consultant Oracle

We are looking for a skilled Oracle Database Consultant with hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will support enterprise-level projects and ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases. This role involves direct interaction with clients and internal teams for database-related planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities 

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in production and development environments.
  • Implement and manage high availability solutions like RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
  • Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and database health checks.
  • Execute database backups, restore, and recovery strategies using RMAN and other tools.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and associated components.
  • Conduct database cloning, migration, and patching activities.
  • Monitor storage utilization, capacity planning, and proactively mitigate performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, including user management and auditing.
  • Collaborate with developers, application teams, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and optimization.
  • Document database configurations, operational procedures, and incident resolutions.

 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications / Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, OEM, and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Shell, Bash, or Python).
  • Experience with Oracle upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
  • Understanding of Oracle licensing models and cost-effective database strategies.

 

 Preferred Qualifications/ Skills 

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in Oracle on Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS, or Azure for Oracle DB).
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and automation tools for database tasks.
  • Familiarity with additional databases like MySQL or SQL Server is a plus.
