Counter Salesman

Job Summary:

The Book Counter Salesman is responsible for assisting customers at the book counter, managing sales transactions, maintaining stock display, and providing excellent customer service. The role involves product knowledge, inventory handling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day counter operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the book counter with queries and purchases.
• Recommend books based on customer preferences and current trends.
• Manage billing, cash handling, and daily sales records accurately.
• Maintain proper display and organization of books at the counter.
• Check stock levels and coordinate with the store manager for replenishment.
• Handle book returns, exchanges, and resolve customer complaints politely.
• Keep the counter area clean and ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
• Support periodic stock audits and inventory counts.
