Summary: The Power BI Administrator supports the Operations team by managing, governing, and optimizing Power BI environments. This role ensures reliable data access, report performance, security compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations of Power BI assets. Key Roles & Responsibilities Administer Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, datasets, gateways) Configure and manage tenant settings in Power BI Admin Portal Manage workspace lifecycle (creation, access control, archival, deletion) Monitor service health, usage metrics, and capacity (Pro/Premium) Implement role-based access control (RBAC) Manage dataset and report permissions Configure Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) Monitor dataset refreshes and resolve refresh failures Manage on-premises data gateways (installation, upgrades, monitoring) Proactively identify and resolve performance or capacity issues Handle incident management and operational escalations related to Power BI Support deployment pipelines (Dev / Test / Prod) Coordinate releases and changes with business and IT stakeholders Maintain version control and deployment standards Validate reports and datasets before production rollout Enforce naming conventions, documentation, and workspace standards Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with Power BI Service & Power BI Desktop Knowledge of Power BI Admin Portal & tenant settings Experience with on-premises data gateways Understanding of data modeling, DAX, and refresh strategies Familiarity with Azure AD, security groups, and access controls Experience in production support or BI operations environment Good to Have Power BI Premium / Fabric capacity management Azure services (Azure SQL, Data Bricks, Data Factory, ADLS) Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI). - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
