JOB DESCRIPTION – CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT

Role Overview

The Cyber Security Consultant engages with customers, performs cyber risk assessments, drives compliance activities, and provides advisory on cybersecurity improvements. This role requires strong communication skills, customer interaction experience, and practical knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST CSF, and GDPR.

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead cybersecurity discussions with customer stakeholders (CXOs, IT, Dev teams).

·        Conduct cybersecurity audits and gap assessments aligned to ISO 27001 / SOC2 / NIST CSF / GDPR.

·        Perform risk assessments and maintain security risk register with remediation plan (CAPA).

·        Draft or review cybersecurity policies: Access Control, Incident Response, Data Retention, DR/BCP.

·        Advise on security architecture improvements across infra, applications, and cloud environments.

·        Prepare audit reports, compliance scorecards, and presentations for management review.

·        Conduct cybersecurity awareness sessions for users and developers.

Required Skills & Experience

·        3–10 years of cybersecurity consulting or audit experience.

·        Experience with SIEM, IAM, DLP, and EDR tools (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk, Defender, Crowd Strike).

·        Strong understanding of risk, vulnerability management, MFA, IAM, and network controls.

·        Experience performing gap assessments and driving compliance closure activities.

Preferred Certifications

·        ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer

·        CISA / CEH / CompTIA Security+

·        CISSP (added advantage)

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills (customer-facing role).
