Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Mumbai, Chennai and Gurgaon (Hyderabad is optional)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist with 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights from data and building data-driven solutions that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop models, create actionable insights, and drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Build, deploy, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
• Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate the impact of business decisions.
• Develop and present visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and apply them to solve business challenges.

Qualification & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, or related fields in financial services domain.
• Knowledge of experience working with classification & regression techniques such as linear & logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, boosting & bagging models, etc.  
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python with experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in SAS programming.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
