Design Specialist

Qualifications - Graduate engineers or Diploma Engineers

10+ years experience

The role will involve electrical and gas piping design engineering support across the following areas:

• Electrical engineering and Gas piping design for gas vaporizer and regulation systems, including inlet/outlet isolation and auxiliaries

• Electrical scope definition for water or steam loop systems, where applicable

• Development of high-level gas detection philosophy, including detector placement and interfaces with alarms and E-Stop systems

• Definition of E-Stop and shutdown logic in coordination with controls and safety disciplines

• Preparation and/or review of line lists and instrument indices related to E&I interfaces

• Electrical input for vaporizer and regulation skid layout, with constructability considerations

• Development of single-line diagrams and power/control cable routing concepts

• Engineering of gas detectors, alarms, E-Stop push buttons, and visual/audible beacons

• Definition of signage, earthing & bonding philosophy, and lightning protection materials (if within scope)

• Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and hazardous area classifications
