Responsibilities

Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM Developer  

Exp: 4-6/6-8 yrs Relevant

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer with 4–6 years of experience specializing in IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Event Management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining ITOM solutions, ensuring proactive monitoring, automation, and seamless integration across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • ITOM Development
    • Configure and customize ITOM modules (Discovery, Service Mapping, Orchestration, Cloud Management).
    • Implement CMDB population and reconciliation strategies.
    • Automate workflows for infrastructure and application monitoring.
  • Event Management
    • Configure Event Management to capture, normalize, and correlate events from multiple monitoring tools.
    • Develop alert rules, correlation logic, and remediation workflows.
    • Integrate Event Management with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
  • Integration & Automation
    • Build integrations with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, SCOM, Zabbix, Dynatrace).
    • Develop orchestration workflows for automated remediation.
    • Ensure smooth data exchange using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
  • Platform Enhancements
    • Create custom dashboards and performance analytics for ITOM/Event Management.
    • Maintain and upgrade ServiceNow instances, ensuring compatibility with new releases.
    • Apply best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work closely with infrastructure, application, and ITSM teams.
    • Provide technical guidance during UAT and production rollout.
    • Document technical designs, workflows, and integration mappings.

     

    Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong expertise in ITOM modules (Discovery, Service Mapping, Orchestration).
  • Hands-on experience with Event Management configuration and integrations.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience with CMDB design, population, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and event correlation strategies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and alignment with ITOM/ITSM best practices.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) or CIS-ITOM (Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM) certification.
  • Experience with cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to Performance Analytics and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
