REHAB PSYCHOLOGY :- Helps individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and injuries cope with psychological, social, and functional challenges to improve their quality of life

1.      Assessment and diagnosis: Evaluating a patient's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral state to identify challenges and strengths.

2.      Treatment planning: Creating tailored plans that address both immediate and long-term issues related to their health condition.

3.      Therapy and counselling: Providing interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, anxiety management, and counselling to help individuals cope with their disability and related mental health concerns.

4.      Goal setting: Working with patients to set achievable goals for personal, social, and vocational reintegration.

5.      Family and community support: Counselling families, helping them build support networks, and providing resources for reintegration into the community.

6.      Interdisciplinary collaboration: Working as part of a team with physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, and other specialists to provide holistic care.

7.      Education and training: Educating patients about their health conditions and teaching coping strategies to other healthcare team members

8.      Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

9.      Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' rehabilitation goals.

10.  Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address psychological barriers to recovery.

11.  Collaborate closely with medical professionals, occupational therapists, and other stakeholders to coordinate holistic care.

12.  Provide psychoeducation to clients and families to facilitate understanding of psychological processes and recovery strategies.

13.  Document treatment progress and adjust therapeutic approaches based on client feedback and outcomes.

14.  Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advances in rehabilitation psychology.
