Facility Manager

JOB Summary:

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, safety, and functionality of buildings and grounds. This role ensures that facilities are safe, efficient, compliant with regulations, and supportive of organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily facility operations, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and grounds
• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors/vendors
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Manage facility-related budgets, cost control, and purchasing
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and space planning projects
• Monitor building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security)Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly
• Maintain records for maintenance, inspections, and compliance
• Respond to emergencies and develop emergency preparedness plans
• Support sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)Proven experience in facilities or building management
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
• Understanding of health, safety, and regulatory standards
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Budgeting and vendor management experience
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office
