Fiber Network Engineer

Job Description: Network Engineer (Field Technician)

Location: Multiple Locations in the Region of Hyderabad

Experience : 6 months - 13 Years

Qualification: SSC/Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.

About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Fiber Field Technician to support the deployment and maintenance of broadband fiber networks. This role involves hands-on fieldwork to ensure reliable high-speed internet connectivity for residential and commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables for broadband internet services.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare for fiber installations in homes and businesses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber-related service issues and outages.
• Perform OTDR, power meter, and visual fault locator testing.
• Maintain and update installation records, route maps, and service logs.
• Collaborate with network engineers and customer service teams to ensure timely service delivery.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance during field operations.
• Educate customers on equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• 6 months -13 years of experience in fiber optic installation and broadband services.
• Proficiency with fiber tools: fusion splicer, OTDR, cleaver, etc.
• Understanding of FTTx, GPON, and broadband network architecture.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel across service areas.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
