General Manager - Projects (Civil)

An experienced and visionary Manager to oversee architectural designs, project planning, resource procurement, and coordination with partners to ensure successful execution of construction projects. He will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team and driving excellence in architectural outcomes while meeting project timelines and budgets.

- Lead the conceptualization and execution of innovative and aesthetically appealing architectural designs for various projects.

- Collaborate with design teams to create visually engaging layouts that meet project requirements, brand guidelines, and client expectations.

- Ensure front-end designs incorporate sustainability features, maximize space utilization, and align with market trends and stakeholder aspirations.

- Conduct design presentations for clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to finalize designs.

- Develop and manage the technical and structural aspects of architectural designs, ensuring their feasibility and efficiency in execution.

- Create and oversee detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and schematics for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.

- Ensure that all back-end designs comply with safety standards, building codes, and local regulations.

- Optimize technical layouts to enhance the durability, functionality, and performance of the completed structure.

- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technical consultants to address structural challenges and ensure seamless integration of all back-end systems.

- Develop frameworks for modular construction, prefabrication, or advanced building techniques where applicable.

- Coordinate with quantity surveyors to create precise BOQ and BOM that reflect project requirements, ensuring all materials, labor, and contingencies are accounted for.

- Develop detailed schedules for BOQ/BOM preparation and approval, ensuring timely availability of data to support project timelines.

- Integrate BOQ and BOM into technical designs, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all project documentation.

- Conduct periodic reviews and revisions to BOQ/BOM to address design changes, updated material availability, or project scope modifications.

- Build and lead a dedicated procurement team with expertise in material sourcing, market analysis, and supplier management.

- Develop comprehensive databases of materials, suppliers, and service providers, both locally and globally.

- Train the procurement team to stay updated with the latest market trends, technologies, and innovations in building materials and architectural solutions.

- Ensure team proficiency in evaluating vendor proposals for quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.

- Establish and maintain partnerships with architectural firms, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

- Oversee the performance of external partners and resolve any issues to maintain project timelines.
