Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 years of experience working directly with large advertising agencies, holding companies, or demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • 5 years of digital marketing experience with advertisers and agencies.
  • 5 years of experience leading large-scale support operations in a high tech environment.
  • Experience managing complex technical escalations and driving them to resolution.
  • Knowledge of Google’s advertising solutions, media landscape, sales channels (LCS and GCS) and agency sales dynamics.

About the job

The gTech Service Manager for Access and Identity (gSM A&I) serves as an executive customer engagement and activation lead driving adoption of essential access and security solutions to Google’s top advertisers and agencies. In this role, you will lead engagements with key customers to enable the adoption of exceptional security protocols, ensuring secure and compliant long term success in an ever-shifting risk landscape. You will guide clients through the end-to-end process from discovery/assessment, to rollout, to monitoring & compliance. Your work will ensure our most important partners are successful, stable, and see Google as the premier platform for their advertising investments. You will have a direct impact on defending and growing significant revenue streams by providing industry-leading support and strategic oversight.

gSM A&I team members will be tasked with designing the end-to-end security activation approach for a portfolio of customers, catering solutions and rollout plans to each client based on their existing operations.

In this role, you will lead without authority in a global team, spread across regions, exchanging best practices and acting as insights/early warning system for the key advertisers in adopting security best practices for their Ads accounts. As a team that's going to build this program from scratch, Google expects you to bring an enterprising mindset to setting and scaling new workflows, being agile in responding to evolving tech and customer landscape and help inform Global Business Organization (GBO) strategy on critical security improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery conversations to identify operational strengths/risks, determine key implementation stakeholders, unearth blockers, etc., and coordinate with sales partners on an aligned approach for the customer.
  • Handle objections and address roadblocks while partnering with the client to develop a rollout plan. Help the client plan an implementation roadmap, provide internal communications plans, timelines for critical milestones, collateral and resources, etc. 
  • Verify adoption and compliance, source client feedback and identify possible process improvements. Monitor progress and address roadblocks through regular check-ins, troubleshooting, and escalation as needed.
  • Identify technical, operational and proactive solutions to scaling security best practices across Google’s Advertisers globally and X-channel.
  • Standardize via playbooks, technical solutions, proactive interventions, the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy on rollout of new security solutions for advertisers.
