Hardware Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION - HARDWARE ENGINEER (ESP32 | OBD|CAN|GPS |GSM)

ROLE

We are hiring a Hardware Engineer to build automotive embedded hardware using ESP32 microcontrollers for car OBD/CAN-based devices. The role includes PCB design, module integration (GPS/GSM), and vehicle communication systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design embedded hardware using ESP32 microcontrollers
• Work with automotive CAN bus and CAN transceivers (SN65HVD230 or similar)
• Understand OBD-II systems and vehicle diagnostic communication
• Integrate and initialize GPS modules for location tracking
• Integrate GSM modules (SIM670/SIMCOM series) including SIM modulation and connectivity
• Interface peripherals using UART, SPI, and I2C protocols
• Create schematics, PCB layout, and BOM using EasyEDA Pro / KiCad / Altium
• Perform board bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, CAN tools
• Support firmware flashing and hardware-level debugging with Arduino IDE / ESP-IDF
• Basic knowledge of Java for flashing utilities/tools
• Collaborate with firmware and product teams for complete system integration

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• ESP32 hardware design experience
• CAN bus + OBD-II knowledge (must for automotive projects)
• GPS and GSM module integration (SIM670 preferred)
• PCB schematic + layout expertise
• Strong debugging and prototyping skills
