Job Description Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

Role Purpose To ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in office areas and kitchen equipment, in line with food safety, quality, and internal SOPs of The Akshaya Patra Foundation.

• Key Responsibilities Supervise office housekeeping (offices, corridors, toilets, meeting rooms, common areas).
• Supervise cleaning of kitchen equipment such as vessels, cooking utensils, trolleys, racks, floors, drains, and workstations.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene standards as per FSSAI / GMP / internal SOPs.
• Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Supervise housekeeping staff and contract workers; ensure proper uniform and PPE usage.
• Train staff on equipment cleaning methods, chemical usage, dilution, and safety.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste.
• Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and logs.
• Support internal and external audits; close housekeeping-related observations on time.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Qualification & Experience
• Minimum 10th / 12th Pass.
• 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision with exposure to office cleaning and kitchen equipment cleaning, preferably in:
• Industrial kitchens
• Food processing units
• Hospitals or large facilities
• Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Team supervision and discipline control
• Basic documentation and reporting
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Hygiene audit scores and zero critical NCs
• Cleanliness of office and kitchen equipment
• Timely closure of audit observations
