Job Description

Job SummaryThe HR Manager will be responsible for managing all human resource functions of the hotel/resort, including recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, training, payroll coordination, and performance management. The role ensures smooth HR operations while supporting management in achieving business goals and maintaining a positive work culture.

  • Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Manpower PlanningIdentify manpower requirements for all departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service, Kitchen, Maintenance, Security, and Administration.
  • Coordinate with department heads for recruitment planning.
  • Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and manage hiring processes.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and proper induction of new employees.
  • 2. Employee Relations & HR AdministrationMaintain healthy employee relations and handle employee grievances.
  • Maintain employee personal files, records, and HR documentation.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and shift scheduling in coordination with department heads.
  • Ensure implementation of HR policies and company rules.
  • 3. Training & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and organize training programs for staff.
  • Conduct orientation and induction programs for new employees.
  • Coordinate skill development programs for operational departments.
  • 4. Payroll & Benefits AdministrationCoordinate with accounts for monthly payroll processing.
  • Ensure accurate attendance, overtime, and leave records.
  • Manage employee benefits such as insurance, PF, ESI, and other statutory benefits.
  • 5. Statutory ComplianceEnsure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations including:

  • PF (Provident Fund)
  • ESI
  • Gratuity
  • Shops & Establishment Act
  • Labour Welfare regulations
  • Maintain statutory registers and records as per legal requirements.
  • 6. Performance ManagementCoordinate performance appraisal processes.
  • Monitor employee performance and productivity.
  • Assist management in implementing reward and recognition programs.
  • 7. Discipline & HR PoliciesImplement disciplinary procedures when required.
  • Ensure proper adherence to company policies and SOPs.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • 8. Reporting & CoordinationSubmit daily, weekly, and monthly HR reports to management.
  • Provide manpower reports, attrition reports, and recruitment status updates.
  • Coordinate with management (CEO / MD / GM) on HR-related matters.
