Job Description
Role Objective : To manage and expand international trade operations for medical devices, ensuring regulatory compliance, smooth logistics, cost control, and overseas customer coordination.
- Key Responsibilities
- Export OperationsHandle end-to-end export documentation:
- Commercial Invoice, Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Shipping Bill, BL/AWB
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines
- Manage exports to distributors, hospitals, and government tenders abroad
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs, GST, FEMA
- Import OperationsHandle import of raw materials, spares, and finished medical devices
- Coordinate customs clearance, duty structure, HS codes
- Liaison with CHA and ensure timely clearance to avoid demurrage
- Manage import licenses, if applicable
- Regulatory & Compliance (Very Important)Knowledge of medical device export regulations
- Exposure to:
- CDSCO (India)
- FDA / CE / ISO (documentation coordination)
- Ensure product documentation aligns with destination country norms
- International Business SupportCoordinate with overseas distributors & agents
- Support international tenders, quotations, and proforma invoices
- Price calculation considering freight, duties, insurance, forex
- 📊 Reporting & ControlsMaintain export–import MIS
- Track shipments, lead times, costs
- Forex coordination with bank (LC, advance payments, remittance follow-ups)
- Required Skills & QualificationsGraduate / Postgraduate in International Business / Logistics / Supply Chain
- 5–10 years in export–import (medical devices / pharma / healthcare preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Incoterms
- HS codes
- Customs procedures
- DGFT regulations
- Excellent communication (email & coordination with foreign clients)
