Job Description

A Telesales Executive needs strong communication, persuasion, and customer service skills, with responsibilities including outbound calls, lead generation, meeting sales targets, handling inquiries, processing orders, and updating CRM records, often requiring high school/degree, computer proficiency, and resilience for rejection. Key requirements are excellent verbal skills, negotiation, time management, and goal orientation, while duties focus on driving sales through the phone, building customer relationships, and providing solutions. 

Key Requirements (Skills & Qualifications)

  • Communication: Excellent verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales Acumen: Persuasive, negotiation, and closing skills; ability to follow scripts.
  • Customer Focus: Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving for customer needs.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office, and telephone systems.
  • Personal Attributes: Goal-oriented, resilient (handling rejection), organized, and a team player.
  • Education: High school diploma usually required; Bachelor's degree often preferred.
  • Experience: Prior telesales or customer service experience. 

Key Responsibilities (Duties)

  • Outbound Calling: Contacting potential and existing customers to sell products/services.
  • Lead Management: Generating, qualifying, and following up on leads.
  • Sales Execution: Presenting products, handling objections, upselling/cross-selling, and processing orders.
  • Customer Service: Answering inquiries, resolving complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Maintaining accurate records in CRM and generating sales reports.
  • Product Knowledge: Staying updated on offerings and industry trends.
