Essential Functions: Responsible for all PTF installs, operating system updates, backups, and general iSeries maintenance. Recommend, install, implement, and use 3rd party software where needed to improve iSeries performance. Maintain and administer JDE World security along with DB2 security in accordance with the newest security methods. Analyze the iSeries by monitoring system performance, log files, memory usage to determine upgrade needs. Develop disaster recovery plans, tune the system, provide technical training and assistance where needed. Document all system changes and develop consistent procedures. Responsible for maintaining a production/test/development environment for our JDE World ERP application.
