Junior Horticulturist / Agricultural Assistant

• Assist in planning, planting, and maintaining gardens, farms, or horticultural projects, including seed selection, soil preparation, and crop rotation.
• Monitor plant health, identify pests/diseases, and apply appropriate treatments or organic pesticides to ensure optimal growth.
• Manage irrigation systems, fertilization schedules, and harvesting processes to maximize yield and quality.
• Conduct soil testing and recommend improvements for better productivity and sustainability.
• Maintain records of crop performance, inventory of tools/seeds, and daily activities for reporting purposes.
• Support in landscaping or greenhouse operations, including pruning, grafting, and propagation of plants.
• Collaborate with senior agronomists or team members on research, trials, or new cultivation techniques.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all agricultural activities.
• Provide guidance to field workers or laborers on best practices for planting and maintenance.
• Participate in seasonal activities like sowing, weeding, and post-harvest handling.
