SAP Production Planning and Quality Management Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize production planning and quality management processes across shop floor and end-to-end workflows.
• Configure SAP PP (MRP, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, BOMs, Routings, Variant Configuration) and SAP QM (Inspection Plans, Lots, Notifications, Usage Decisions).
• Lead full cycle implementations (Fit/Gap, configuration, testing, deployment, Go-Live, post-Go-Live support) for PP and QM modules.
• Design solutions using user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots, and Fiori apps to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with MM, SD, FI/CO, WM/EWM, and external systems via IDocs, RFC, or APIs.
• Develop functional specs, support ABAP teams, oversee unit/integration testing (SIT/UAT), and assist with data migration (LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit).
• Conduct end-user training, create manuals, and ensure smooth business adoption across functions.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver enhancements post Go-Live.
• Maintain compliance with industry best practices and prepare documentation for audits and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience implementing SAP PP and QM in S/4HANA or ECC environments.
• Hands-on in PP (MRP, Production Orders, Capacity Planning, BOMs, Routings, Variant Config) and QM (Inspection Plans, Lots, Notifications, Control Charts, Batch Management).
• Proficiency in SAP development enhancements (BAdIs, user exits, Fiori) and integration (MM, SD, FI/CO, WM).
• Solid experience with end-to-end implementation phases (Fit/Gap analysis, config, SIT/UAT, Go-Live).
• Skilled in preparing functional specs and coordinating with ABAP teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• SAP PP, QM, or S/4HANA certification.
• Experience with data migration tools (LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit).
• Familiar with batch management, control charts, and dynamic modification in QM.
