Job Description
Job Summary:The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, hygiene standards, and smooth coordination among kitchen staff. The role requires strong leadership, operational efficiency, and adherence to food safety and cost control standards.Key Responsibilities:🔹 Kitchen OperationsSupervise daily food preparation and cooking activities.Ensure all dishes are prepared as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage.Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and plating.🔹 Team SupervisionLead, train, and motivate kitchen staff.Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.Assist in staff scheduling and shift management.Maintain discipline and professional conduct in the kitchen.🔹 Hygiene & SafetyEnsure compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP).Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.Monitor proper food storage and labeling.Conduct regular hygiene inspections.🔹 Inventory & Cost ControlMonitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/purchase department.Reduce wastage and control food cost.Conduct periodic inventory checks.Assist in vendor coordination if required.🔹 CoordinationWork closely with F&B Service team for smooth operations.Handle guest feedback related to food quality.Support management during audits and inspections.Required Qualifications:Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen.Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.Leadership and team management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Good communication skills.Key Skills:✔ Leadership & Supervision✔ Food Quality Control✔ Time Management✔ Cost Control Awareness✔ Hygiene & Safety Compliance✔ Team CoordinationIf you want, I can also:✔ Customize it for 5-star hotel standard✔ Customize for Industrial Catering / Cloud Kitchen✔ Make a short version for job portal posting✔ Create a professional PDF format JDLet me know your requirement 👍
