Kitchen Staff

A café kitchen staff member prepares ingredients, cooks simple dishes, sandwiches, and bakery items, while maintaining a clean, sanitary workstation. Key duties include operating kitchen equipment, managing food safety, assisting with inventory, and supporting team members during fast-paced service. 

Key Responsibilities

• Food Prep & Cooking: Prepare ingredients (chopping, washing), make sandwiches, salads, and bake goods to order or in batches.
• Cleaning & Sanitation: Wash dishes, utensils, and sanitize workstations to meet health regulations.
• Inventory Management: Restock supplies, organize inventory, and label food items properly.
• Workflow Support: Assist chefs and other team members, ensuring timely, high-quality service.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety procedures and report any kitchen incidents to management. 

Job Requirements

• Experience: Previous restaurant or cafe experience is preferred but not always required.
• Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, basic math for recipes, and strong communication.
